A handmade gift carries more than warmth. It carries the time, care and kindness of the person who made it.

Living Skies Fibre Studio is bringing knitters and crocheters together to create toques, mittens and scarves for people who need extra warmth this winter. In coordination with the City of Prince Albert, we will share these gifts at the Community Christmas Tree Lighting in Memorial Square on December 2, 2026.

Our hope is to grow an annual tradition of making, giving and caring for our neighbours.

Make Something to Share

Whether you make one toque or several pairs of mittens, your contribution matters. We welcome donations of new, handmade toques, mittens and scarves in a range of sizes.

Choose warm, comfortable yarn and a pattern you enjoy. Please securely finish your items and, where possible, include a small label with the size, fibre content and washing instructions.

Find Resources for your project

This page will be a place to find knitting and crochet patterns, donation guidelines and project updates. Resources will be added as the project grows, so please check back or join the email list to hear when something new is available.

Gather with fellow makers

Bring your knitting or crochet and join us for a morning of coffee and fibre community.

These informal gatherings will be an opportunity to meet other makers, share what you are working on and enjoy creating together. You are welcome to work on a donation for Stitches of Warmth or bring your current project.

You do not need to know anyone to join us. Come on your own or invite a friend.

Dates and location will be announced. Sign up below to receive the details.
Participants will purchase their own refreshments.

Volunteer on December 2nd
