I am Carolyn Carleton—author, mentor, teacher, and fibre artist—creating spaces and resources that equip women and leaders to flourish in faith, creativity, and everyday life.

For more than two decades, I have walked alongside others as a pastor’s wife, youth missions leader, speaker, and mentor. Through those years, I witnessed a consistent longing beneath the surface of people’s lives: a desire for sanctuary. A place to slow down. A place to be restored. A place to live with intention, integrity, and courage.

That longing shaped everything I create.

Faith, Reflection, and Soul Care

My work is grounded in a deep belief in the transforming power of Scripture, as expressed in 2 Timothy 3:16–17, and in the value of reflective practices that help us listen for God’s voice. Journaling has long been one of those practices in my own life, becoming both a spiritual anchor and a practical tool for clarity and healing.

This led to the creation of the My Journey Journal—a weekly journal designed to help you reflect, practise gratitude, and notice God’s hand at work in your story. What began as photocopied pages on my own bookshelf has grown into a series used by women and teens seeking faith, healing, and direction.

Alongside the journal, I offer teaching and mentorship through initiatives such as Rooted & Flourishing, workshops and gatherings focused on resilience, leadership, and building strong spiritual foundations, and the Equipped Podcast, where I host honest conversations for leaders and believers navigating faith, leadership, and life with integrity.

Whether you are beginning a Bible reading journey, rebuilding after church hurt, or seeking encouragement for the road ahead, my hope is that you find this space to be a place of rest and renewal.

Fibre, Creativity, and Wellness

I am also the fibre artist and designer behind Living Skies Fibre Studio.

My fibre arts journey began in my teens, knitting alongside my Grandmother. From those early days, a deep love for fibre was woven into my life. I live in Saskatchewan, Canada—the Land of Living Skies—with my husband and two adult daughters. The wide skies, prairie light, forests, and lakes of this place continue to inspire my original crochet and knitting designs.

Since publishing my first pattern in 2014, my work has been featured in magazines and subscription boxes and has become a best-seller on platforms such as Etsy and Ravelry.

During a challenging season of health issues, fibre arts became an essential source of mental wellness for me. The rhythmic, linear movements of working with yarn created space for healing, reflection, and presence. With every stitch, something new was revealed—about creativity, patience, and the quiet power of making.

That experience shaped my approach to teaching. I have taught fibre arts for many years in local arts centres and school classrooms, and in 2019 I created Weaving into Wellness, a hands-on workshop that explores the mental health benefits of fibre arts through the meditative practice of weaving.

I am a proud member of the Prince Albert Spinners and Weaver's Guild and an ambassador for the Campaign for Wool in Canada.

One Journey, One Sanctuary

At the heart of all my work—journals, fibre, teaching, mentoring, and retreats—is a single purpose: to create sanctuary. Spaces where faith meets everyday life. Where creativity supports wellness. Where leaders and women can slow down, reflect, and move forward with clarity and courage.

If you are here to be equipped, restored, or inspired, you are welcome.

Let us walk this journey together.
