Now is the time

5/5/2020

Sometimes our lives have to be completely shaken up, changed, and rearranged to relocate us to the place we are meant to be.
We are facing a new reality on so many levels.

My husband and I have joked so many times that we wish the world would stop so that everything would slow down.  I would have never imagined that a pandemic that may essentially kill thousands of people would cause this to happen.

I have been in a bit of shock trying to wrap my brain around everything that is happening.

Do you know that the bestselling books on amazon right now are homeschooling books? That is exciting for me, it shows what people are putting as priorities.  I have been so disappointed with the "self-help" books that have been on the bestsellers list - complete drivel.  Let's get our minds growing 🌱

A few takeaways:
  • enjoy your family.  I am thankful for this time that we can be together, my daughters are 16, & 17 and I won't have them at home for very much longer so this required time to spend together is a blessing!
  • people are making food and enjoying meals as a family - this is something that we should never have compromised on before.  Don't let anything take this away from you.
  • surprised at how people are living pay cheque to pay cheque.  With spending so much time in our home our spending should be a lot less and we can learn to live on less.  Now is the time to learn about money management and how important it is to have money in a savings account.  Now that you have the time figure out your monthly budget and make the necessary adjustments.
  • so much organization and small home projects.  All those things that we wished we could have time for are now getting completed.  Perfect time for spring cleaning and organization.  (I know that my yarn stash could use a little attention 😉)

What are your takeaways?  How can you make the most of this time?
